This plant says, “Which way did she go?” The correct answer is AUSTRALIA! The entire month of April was spent teaching and touring in Australia… Canberra, Ballarat, Melbourne, Newcastle and Hobart, Tasmania. Quilters are gracious and generous all over the world, but especially in OZ. As always, these big journeys create space to view your life from a new perspective. Perfectly timed after the intensity of writing the new book and on the verge of some fresh work, I came home inspired and excited to begin the next phase.
This week I will be attending Spring Quilt Market for the first time. I will have some books to sign and a nice new scarf to wear. Hope to see some of you there!
Looks like you had a wonderful time! Wish I’d known you were visiting my home town!
Welcome home! I’m so happy that you were able to soak up the inspiration for a whole month!
Dear Jane – awesome pics. I had many years in Canberra and at first the pears were at the uni, then moved to the gallery. I usually visit them when I’m in town – they are so sensual and beautiful.
Glad you enjoyed your time in Oz in the southern States – next time, Queensland will have to be on your list – we’d love to see you again.
Looks great- love that tree bark.
So excited about your new fabrics. Can’t wait to see them in person. Absolutely love the July 4th quilt. I think it would be great in a kit.
