Jane works the dramatic possibilities of a single motif...

Jane has repeatedly stated that one of the motivations behind her fabric design is to allow quilters to create dramatic quilt results by relying on the large scale motifs found in the fabric patterns. She continues to show the way with Primrose Variations, a mesmerizing finished quilt which shape's are large and easy to handle. There is only one triangular template needed plus a simple border and the piecing is very straight forward.

The results? Decide for yourself!  We think it is a successful cross between Louis Sullivan and Peter Max!  if nothing else, you'll never tire of gazing into its matrix, somewhat like the joy of staring at a bright spring garden through an old fashioned kaleidoscope
